Healing Expressions Through ART

I, myself, am the product of non-profit organizations. From adolescence, I was afforded opportunities to perform abroad, accompany legendary artist, and perform on stages one could only dream of. These opportunities were afforded to me not necessarily because I came from an underserved or underprivileged community. I was raised in church and privileged to be taught by people who were masters of their craft. They willingly, selflessly, and tirelessly poured into me and several others, which fueled my passion for performance and ignited my fervor for humanities and arts. Need should not be the only reason we provide programs of caliber to our youth. I knew, from very young, that my gift was not my own and I was blessed in order to be a blessing. In turn, I vowed that in conjunction with the pursuance of my performance career I’d curate and ultimately found an organization of my own that would foster the creativity and skill set of youth with a passion for the Arts, hence the birth of HEART.

In a time where arts funding and education is being removed from our public school system and no longer seen as necessity, HEART will step in to fill that void and incite hope, resilience and change through the Arts.

Spreading a message of hope, resilience and change through the use of our artistic gifts.
